We believe a great vacation starts with useful information, thoughtful preparation, and the freedom to explore at your own pace. Your Gateway to Travel is a destination-guide and travel-planning website for memorable getaways, starting with Hawaiʻi Island.
What you can expect
- Destination guides: practical ideas for where to go, what to see, and how to prepare.
- Experiences and excursions: research-based planning resources, with firsthand stories added only after we've experienced them.
- Travel for everyone: questions to consider about accessibility, mobility, comfort, and special requirements before you book.
- Travel essentials: packing lists, guidebook suggestions, budget tools, and checklists.
- Honest reviews: our own photographs and observations, with any hosted visits, discounts, or affiliate relationships disclosed.
Our first destination: Hawaiʻi Island
We're beginning with Kona and the Big Island, including coffee country, ocean activities, Hawaiian culture, scenic drives, and dining. While we prepare for our November 2026 visit, our guide pages clearly distinguish advance research from personal experience.
